Pitch a piece

Open Mindful Living welcomes clear, original pitches about attention, rituals, sensory awareness, transitions, and reflection in ordinary life. We are interested in useful ideas with a human scale, not grand promises or one-size-fits-all prescriptions.

What makes a strong pitch

Send a short proposal centered on one reader-facing question or idea. Tell us what the piece would explore, why it suits Open Mindful Living, and what a reader might take away. A vivid everyday example, a fresh angle, and a clear scope help more than a broad theme. Please say whether the piece has been published or offered elsewhere.

The kind of writing we seek

We look for accessible, specific writing that respects readers' different lives and avoids presenting a personal routine as a universal answer. Pieces may explain a concept, compare approaches, explore a custom, or offer a low-pressure prompt. Avoid unsupported health claims, promotional copy, and claims of guaranteed transformation.

How to send an idea

We welcome pitches before completed drafts, as well as concise proposals for finished work. Include your name, a way to reply, and a brief description of the idea. Proposals are sent through the Contact page by choosing the editorial question option. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

A shared idea

Attention belongs in ordinary life

Mindfulness need not be another achievement. We look for small, flexible ways to notice what is already here.
